Horror Scares LA April - June 2013 Including A Horror Camp

Days of the Dead
April 5-7
Los Angeles Convention Center

Right now this seems like a massive signing session for anyone who loves horror movies. I'll have details on it as more blood is drawn, but I hope there are some screenings. Check the full list of whose coming with more additions to be announced.

*order passes early to save

Monsterpalooza 2013
April 12-14
Burbank Marriot

The staple of all things horror returns to Burbank the weekend after Days of the Dead. You have special effects and make-up artists and plenty of horror celebs signing here too.

Here's the guest list so far

Vampire 5k
April 26
Unknown location, you have to sign up to get the info

So sort of like a zombie run, but at night, you'll be signing some legal document about safety for sure. You can be a victim or a vampire, seems like a good workout ... running for your life!

Citizens in all white start in one location, Vampires in black in another. The paths converge at an unknown location and then the hunt is on! Vampire will try to "convert" citizens by pulling both white flags they will be carrying. Expect to run through fog, blood powder zones and other mystery stations along the way. Celebrate eternity in our Red Dusk after party where there will be music, Bloody Mary's, red beer, awards and more

*no race day registration, so sign up now and before April to save $10

*now I miss the Vampire film festival at the New Bev and The Cinefamily not saying they were part of the vampire film festival, but show vampire films at the same time.

Great Horror Campout
June 7-8
Los Angeles State Historic Park

This is by far the most impressive of all the horror activities, being in your own horror movie at a camp. The only way this could be better is if they get the actors from the over events to show up. So from 8pm to 8am your in a real camp ground and monsters and such can scare you at any moment. After being scared out of your mind in the Hell Hunt you can go watch horror movies and roast marshmallows.

You know whose behind this, they same people who give us the Haunted Hayride here in LA, if you remember my review, they outclass major theme parks in presentation. I'll be sure to have updates on this.

*sign up for the Camp Creeper Club for news and possible discounts.

* a part of me wants Whimsic Alley to have Wizard Camp nearby for a food fight.
