A quote by Mick LaSalle of the San Francisco Chronicle via Rotten Tomatoes best sums up the film.
"The audience finds out just how long 84 minutes can be. The answer: really long."
I'll simply add Charles Swan III, the main character in the film, is working in advertising, a clear sign for the movie buff that it's the same old garbage you've seen a hundred times.
I could honestly say I've already seen this movie as it has nothing new I haven't seen in a hundred other films and from the actors playing the main characters. Whatever LA vibe it's suppose to be giving off seems a lot like New york even with a Musso and Frank scene.
