Wow, first we lost the Kodak Theater and it's now called the Dolby Theater. Now a Chinese company that makes televisions has bought the naming rights to the former Grauman's Chinese. It will now be called the TLC Chinese Theatre. This is going to screw up a lot of maps.
I'm not sure if anyone will care unless there's an acutal sign somewhere and most people will just keep refering to it as the Grauman's Chinese.
If you want to get into how wacky the area over there is. The theaters attached to the TLC Theater used to be called the Mann's Chinese, but Mann theaters closed up shop here so they are now just the Chinese Theaters. I've noticed a lot of former film festivals have withdrawn from the popular venue since it's ownership changed.
