DVD Reminder: Blood Beat (Christmas Horrors) and Silent Night Remake
Blood Beat (Christmas Horrors)
I hope there's a showing at the Cinefamily or somewhere in LA.
"Blood Beat is quite possible the most bizarre Christmas themed horror film ever made!
1982 was a great year for weird and wild independent cinematic sleaze, but Blood Beat may take home the crowning acheivement award for Christmas horror films featuring Samurai's. A young man brings his new girlfriend home to his parents house, in rural Wisconsin, for the holidays. There's time board games, deer hunting, watching TV, relaxing, flying inanimate objects, sex with Samurai induced climaxes and of course some holiday slashings. Apparently the girlfriend has brought back the spirit of an ancient Samurai when she visited Wisconsin and the Samurai still has some killing left to do. Part slasher, part poltergiest and all crazy, this is one Christmas horror film that you won't forget. " Limited Edition To Just 500 Units!! Each Unit is Hand Numbered.
Silent Night
"Santa Claus is coming to town in Silent Night a modern remake of the 1984 horror classic Silent Night Deadly Night. It's the night before Christmas and not a creature is stirring-except for a psycho axe murderer disguised as Santa. When Sheriff Cooper played by Malcolm McDowell (Rob Zombie's Halloween) and his deputy Sheriff Aubrey Bradimore (Jaime King Sin City) investigate a horrific mass homicide at a local motel on Christmas Eve they discover there is a killer Santa Claus on the loose. The officers quickly conclude that the killer is still in the area-but there is one problem: tonight is the annual Santa costume contest and nearly every guy in town is wearing a red suit and a white beard including Sheriff Bradimore's father. With the town's body count rising the race is on to put an end to the jolly old St. Nick's murderous rampage'
