So some big news from EigaFest, which you might remember TTDILA covering last year. It seems they've changed venues like multiple film festival in LA and are leaving The Chinese Theaters, but they'll be right down the street at The Egyptian. So the confirmed opening night film is Rurouni Kenshin. If you were a fan of Toonami back in the day you know it's based on a successful anime about a swordsman who uses a reverse blade that doesn't kill his opponents. It's been hyped up very much from it's home country and LA is luckily enough to get it for it's North American premiere, oh so sad New York.
I'll update you with more info leading up to EigaFest.
In some sad news the next Uwe Bowl film is premiering at the Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival. Uwe will be their in person, he is one of the most hated directors of our time, so it's a bit strange to keep hearing about him getting funding, this isn't even a video game film, oddly enough.
"Uwe Boll's in person to present his new film Bailout: The Age Of Greed, starring Dominic Purcell, Edward Furlong, and Eric Roberts, has its Premiere with full cast and crew Q&A."
The rest of the films so far look like fun, including The World Premiere of Manos: The Hands of Fate in HD which is one of those great B-movies ready to be mocked and laughed at. Don Hertzfeldt is showing "It's Such A Beautiful Day", which is some silly hand drawn animation at it's finest. I'll keep you update about this one too,
