With Morphicon happening right now, I thought I'd mention the Otaku-meta series of Akibaranger. Unofficial Sentai Akibaranger is from Toei the same company who makes Sentai Rangers or what we call here in the states, Power Rangers and Kamen Rider, which we don't get in the states. The show is a great look at what it is to be a power ranger through the eyes of a nerd. It takes place in the nerd capitol of Japan in Akihabara. It follows a 29 year-old delivery boy, a cosplayer and a tsundre/mean high school girl try to become an offical power ranger team. 
The best part is that they are all having the battles in their heads. The fights are delusional dreams bought on by being nerds, but as the series goes on it gets very introverted on itself and what it means to be a power ranger and not in a emotionally good way. It's meant to be an adult version of the show and it's a great comedy.It's suppose to be legit with English subs on Youtube, but for some reason it's down right now. There should be no reason you should be seeing it. Why go through the trouble of doing English subs?
