Movie Hype: Boilerplate Caught My Eye Today Now It Might Be A Movie

So I was strolling around Wacko looking for a birthday present for a friend

 then this book caught my eye.

Boilerplate is about an alternative history where one robot named
Boilerplate was an integral part to our nations history.
I only skimmed it, but it skimmed like a text book. So I plugged it in online and it turns out it's
in the works with JJ Abrams Bad Robot, nothing concrete, but I would love to see a movie about a
 steam punk Victorian era robot fighting alongside Teddy Roosevelt.
