Capcom and I am 8-bit through one Hell of a party downtown.
Let me start when I arrived around 7pm. What that from a far the only made man structure you can see from space? No, it the line. People stretched down an alley and I think it was reported 1,500 or more people showed up.
740 downtown was a huge building with crazy lights and a nice sound system is what I thought as I entered a night of cute girls in Supereher outfits .Then I rushed over to try the 3DS. Street Fighter 3ds was locked in. I accidentaly shut down the thing because of the placement of the on and off buttons. Anyway if you wondered what The Indian in the Cupboard would feel like get a 3DS, I had some fun fighting as Cammy and Crimson Viper. Touch-screen super attacks took down opponents fast. The 3DS has potentional. My gripes would have to be the on/off button placement. The 3d works, but you have to keep the ds the same distance from your face or you'll get blur.
Other than getting to try a 3DS for the first time party-goers had they chance to play a 30 character build of the game with arcade stands placed all around the place. Lines go long fast, but everyone got a chance to try out the game before it's launch date.
Music from Megaran and some other groups was playing throughout the nigght. I paused for a second as my face was being burned. Is that the X-Men theme song. Yeah, the played a remixed 90's X-men theme song, they had me.
Oh, my face was being burned at the bruise bar. The bruise bar was one of the best features of the night. You could choose what bruise you wanted from a menu and make up artist would apply it to your face. I lot of Capcom fans came out like they had some stories to tell.
Cute cosplay girls around us, kick-ass music and being able to play a fighter before launch was a night of pure bliss for a gamer.
There's nothing quite like the feeling of having people around you while playing video games. The cheers from the crowd and the high-five from your opponent when the battle is over. It makes me sad most arcades are closing down. Hearing the music and the ohh jeez and that's cool. That's a feeling you got that night. Marvel Vs Capcom 3 was fun to play and I can't wait to play friends. It's great for the comic book fan who knows the back story and fun for the gamer because it's such a well made game with plenty of different moves to learn.
Down below the main party. You could play all the old titles of Marvel Vs Capcom. The nostalgia was high. Seeing the deveopment the series showed that every game was made with care and are still easily playable to this day
Capcom had another party in San Fran for the Launch , too. Looks like they had one hell of a bar for Tony Stark.
I'll tell you more about the game when I review it. The Marvel Vs Capcom 3 Fight Club in LA was a gamer's night of epic proportions.
I have no idea the relevance of the bottom two pics they chose, who the Hell are those people? The last two look really creepy.
Don't forget the game is out today.
