I was driving to a friends party on Burbank last Saturday Dec 11 some time after 10:00pm to suddenly see this site. One of the Orange line buses blocking the road and traffic. When I had gotten there earlier, the incompetent bus driver had bus up on the sidewalk. My best guess is he got off the Orange line and instead of making a few rights or lefts decided to make a U-turn with his massive bus. He ended up blocking traffic. There was a narrow passage where cars could go past him, but it was only on one side. The closes stop is for Los Angeles Valley College.
This bus driver is an idiot and needs to be fired. Only he was on the bus at the time, but I have no idea how he got to this point. The saddest thing was seeing the Firehouse nearby opening up it's garage door then closing it. This was because they now lacked space to get out or they just didn't want to add to traffic.
The Source the blog for LA Metro has nothing on this. I'm sending them a e-mail and the local news about it. I want to know the driver and what happened and how it won't happen again. I want the bus driver gone. I could go on with how stupid he is or how funny it looked, but he is in charge of people's safety and the stop was right next to a college and a disabled people school. Hell, he wasn't even near his stop. It doesn't make sense why he got off of Burbank. Idiot.
I also have video I might post to and if need be other witnesses to this stupidity.
