The freaky shit is thanks to Gary Baseman. Local La artist and I must say I enjoy his work. This event however seems freaky and stupid. He's calling it "Giggle and Pop!". Characters he designed will go around the La Brea Tar Pits doing things? Um, they might sing I guess, its just strange. The La Brea Tar Pits are accustomed to live performance art so it ain't the freakiest shit that's gone down there, but it ranks high.
