St. Patrick's Day L.A. and things that aren't so Irish

In a vert sad attempt to make up for not having a St. Patrick's Day Parade (city doesn't have any money) there having a St. Patrick's Day Festival at LA Live .

St. Patrick's Day Festival at LA Live
800 W. Olympic Blvd
Los Angeles, CA 90015
Wednesday, March 17, 2010 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Yes, be forced to do whatever L.A. Live says to do as the city's retarded leaderdship took away the parade which I wouldn't think cost them anything, but time. It's not like the parade doesn't have sponsors. Anyway you still might have fun, so head out to the I don't know million L.A. bars.

Say hello to California City a failed venture to create a city greater than L.A.. You can visit it with others for Obscura Day. Obscura Day is Saturday March 20th. Obscura Day is a day to check out the obscure stuff that is in your area. To take part in Obsura Day  why noy visit a city that only has roads and no buildings. It's kond of far and I most say there really isn't a planned tour, more of hey let's all visit at the same time type deal. If your in for adventure chek it out.

from Obscura site:

In the desert 100 miles northeast of Los Angeles is a suburb abandoned in advance of itself: the unfinished extension of a place called California City. Visible from above now as a series of badly paved streets carved into the dust and gravel, the outer edges of California City are like some peculiarly American response to the Nazca Lines. The uninhabited street plan has become an abstract geoglyph--unintentional land art visible from airplanes--not a thriving community at all.

If going to California City is to far out why not head to the Echo Park Time Travel Mart. (Note* I tried to get a job a the Time Travel Mart when it just opened and recieved a rejection later that said I was fired a year ago). There will be a planned tour of strange spots in LA for 30 bucks as part of Obscura day as well. The tour will take you to Galco's a favorite store of this blog and a abandoned zoo where you'll be able to eat a provided lunch.

Here's all the info you'll need Obscua Day info
